  • H-1B - Highly Skilled

    Every year, “U.S. employers seeing highly skilled foreign professionals” (source). H-1B Visas are for those individuals with specialty occupations in fields that require highly specialized knowledge. Any professional level job that would ideally require a bachelor’s degree or higher can be considered for this visa. Work experience can sometimes be proven to have the educational equivalence of a degree. Fields that can be considered for a visa such as this is IT, Architecture, Engineering, Science, Medicine, Finance, etc. This visa is considered a temporary, non-immigration visa.

  • H-2A/ & H-2B - Agriculture & Non Agriculture

    Another form of the temporary, non-immigration visa. The H-2A Visa is a temporary agriculture immigration program that allows employers in the agriculture field to bring in non-immigrant foreign workers to the United States to assist with agriculture labor in times when those employers are anticipating a shortage of domestic labor workers. The H-2B program does this within the non-immigration realm for a one-time, seasonal, peak load, or intermittent basis.

  • I - Representatives of Foreign Media

    I Visas for Representatives of Foreign Media is a non-immigrant visa that applies to those representative of a bona fide foreign information media outlets such as radio, film, press, or possibly other foreign media informational source. If an individual desires to come to the U.S. for the purpose of operating in this field and has a home office in their respective foreign country, they may apply. The period of stay for this visa will vary based on the application request and details.

  • J-1 - Researchers, Exchange, Scholars, etc.

    This non-immigrant, temporary visa is issued by the U.S. for professors, research scholars, and exchange visitors who generally participate in cultural exchange or learning programs. Those individuals who may apply to this visa include interns, students, teachers, trainees, physicians, and more.   • L-1A & L-1B - Intracompany Transferees

    L-1 visas are used when a company wishes to transfer an employee or employees from an affiliated or subsidiary foreign company to the United States offices.  It is also used when a newly formed U.S. created by a foreign entity or company would like to transfer and employee to the U.S. operations. The difference between the L-1 and the L-1b visa is that the L-1A is for those individuals entering the U.S. on the basis of fulfilling an executive or manager position while the L-1B is for those who have specialized knowledge that a U.S. entity requires for operations.

  • O-1A & O-1B - Extraoridinary Skill in fields (arts, science, education, etc.)

    The O-1 Visa is a non-immigrant visa for those individuals who hold and extraordinary skill in the following areas (science, education, athletics, arts, or those who have record of high achievement within the media/television industry and have been recognized nationally or internationally).  The exact category of the O-1 visa depends on which field an applicant may fall into.   • P-1 - Athletes or Performers

    The P-1 Visa is for individuals who will need to enter the United States in order to perform as a competitive athlete, whether that be as an individual or as a team. This is done through internationally recognized competitions and an individual must show that their high level of achievements are recognized within the country that they are coming from.

  • Q-1 - Cultural Exchange Program

    This non-immigrant, temporary visa allows for individuals to enter the U.S. in order to participate in a cultural exchange program. This program allows for the sharing of history, culture, traditions, and also for training and employment in a practical environment. Programs of this sure may be up to 15 months and participants are required to remain outside of the U.S. for one years’ time in order to be admitted again under a different visa.

  • R-1 - Religious Workers

    This non-immigrant, temporary visa allows for individuals to enter the U.S. in order to participate religious occupations or ministerial work. Individuals looking to obtain admittance into the United States under this visa must have been serving as a member of the religious denomination for the previous two years and work at least 20 hours per week while being in the United States.

  • OTHER SPECIAL WORK VISAS
    • A-1: Visas for Diplomats or foreign government officials
    • C-1 & C-1D: Transiting Visas or Visas for those in the Aviation field (such as crew members, pilots, etc.)
    • G-1: Individuals who are employeess within a predetermined or designated international organizatioin
    • H-3: Temporary, non-immigrant visas for individuals who are entering the U.S. to receive training or education in fields outside of graduate level medical, that is not available in the foreign country or for those individuals who will participate in special training that provides practical training for children with disabilities. (uscis.gov).
    • NATO: Visas specifically for those who work for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
    • P-3: Visa for those individuals or groups coming to participate in cultural even or events that will further the understanding of that culture, tradition, etc. through the use of various methods of teaching or developing (i.e. music, artistic performance, etc.)
